Wind energy

Electrical energy is essential to billions of people around the world. We rely on it for light, to power our appliances, and to heat our water and homes. A large proportion of the world's energy comes from burning fossil fuels such as coal, gas and oil. There is an international consensus that fossil fuels contribute to climate change.

For this reason, low carbon electricity is required in order to reduce the amount of carbon dioxide being emitted into the earth's atmosphere. Wind energy is one such technology that can provide progress towards reducing these emissions.
