Detailed site assessments assess potential impacts of the project and support the planning permit application process providing relevant information for the Minister for Planning to assess whether an Environmental Effects Statement (EES) is required and whether to provide a planning permit for the project.  Site assessments that have commenced include:

  • Electromagnetic Interference Assessment
  • Traffic and Access Assessment
  • Aviation Safety Assessment
  • Flora and Fauna Assessment
  • Cultural Heritage Assessment
  • Historical Heritage Assessment
  • Environmental Noise Assessment
  • Landscape and Visual Impact Assessment

The results of these assessments are used to improve the proposed project infrastructure layout. These studies will be updated over the coming months to ensure the most appropriate design is presented in the final project proposal.
